Writing Project #5 The Rhetorical Analysis

I am choosing a site called FAV Club which is a site made for retired Air Force officers from the Venezuelan Air Force and it is created with the purpose of sharing publicly the history of Venezuelan military aviation and also to provide a platform to understand Venezuelan aviation systems. It is considered a club-special interest group website and is not directly affiliated to the Venezuelan military or the government.

The audience of this club is mainly people interested in military aviation, not only military personal but fans, family, historians, reporters and anybody who wants to know more about the subject is welcome to this site. The website invokes the audience by the use of updated and historic material like pictures, videos and audios. It also provides technical information and it gives fans advice and tips on creating models for Venezuelan aircraft.

The website content is divided by military force: in which they address military aviation from the Army, Navy, Air Force and National Guard perspective. History, in which they address relevant milestones and chapters in air force past, especially from a military perspective. Tales from the cockpit, a space dedicated for old pilots to share curious and entertaining stories about their time serving in the Air Force. Analysis in which experts in the field of military armament review current systems and policies related to military weapons and development. Visits, in which a reporter from the sites reports its visit to different air shows and museums around the globe. And Modelism in which they share tips and tools for aeromodelism fans.

The site rhetorical knowledge: it is pretty much the reason for this website, it is to share practical knowledge about military aviation from an historic, critical and entertainment perspective.

The Critical Thinking side of this website goes in the Analysis section in which they review and try to understand the implication for using different military system and try to address the military policy within the region.
