I have to admit that the first couple of weeks working in this course have been a bit confusing. I’ve been trying to stay up to date and complete the tasks as requested. But I find that there are so many diaries to be written and so little yet to write in them.
The E Portfolio I found more interesting and complete as a tool for crafting and composing because is more deep in content and you have more specifics tasks to it to complete. Diaries are not that clear in terms of purpose and what you want to achieve with them.
I also find complicated that the course structure demanded some tasks to be done in a day, and some others in almost a week. It was hard at first to move around the course calendar and understand exactly the difference between Portfolio and Diary.
Speaking about the way writing structure our thinking it is necessary to understand that written communication, should be clear, complete, concise, correct, and polite. This makes the writer think for a while before saying in paper what he wants to see. In order for the writer to fulfill that mission he needs to have a mental structure of what he wants to accomplish with his written document.
I really hope that after this week experience I find a better way to work trough the calendar and trough the tasks and activities selected for every week.
