Going back to the use of twitter, I tried to write some sort of code for the use of that social media platform:
- Be careful about what you write about people. Don’t be unfair or untrue and avoid trying to damage someone else’s reputation.
- Understanding the motives of any sources, try to understand what they are trying to say when using a source for information, at the same time taking responsibility for what is written on it like it was your own.
– Don’t plagiarize, but retweet with comments.
- Defends the principle of media freedom, and respect the fact that this freedom is not only for you.
- Strive to ensure that information you disseminated is honestly conveyed, accurate and fair. At least make sure what you are sharing is true or is based in actual facts.
– Do your best to correct harmful inaccuracies. If you see or suspect fakes news or alternative facts, point it out in the most polite
- Differentiate between fact and opinion. Always say “I think, it is my opinion” when you are saying something that is not corroborated or official.
