I’m going to share about my Office building. I currently work at a Theological School located in Chicago, it is a very modern building located in a very antique campus in the south side of the City.
The seminary is a very modern, very pragmatically designed and function oriented space. Designed and constructed no more than 10 years ago. The purpose of the building is to teach classes, to offer space for staff and faculty to conduct their daily business and also to serve as a place of gathering and encounter for the student community, neighbors, guests, and other stakeholders. This place does a very good job in fulfilling it purpose. Since people feel welcome, comfortable and in a good set up to learn and provide services.
The place is not a huge building, it has the necessary spaces for the necessary tasks it does. It is fully illuminated, well connected, easy to move around and while it is modern. It does provide a sense of history and prestige for an institution that has been existing for over 150 years. As a worker here, I love coming to the building, in fact I’ve been coming a lot during the pandemic despite the recommendations of not coming here, because it is a great place to work and to concentrate and gets things done.
