WRITER'S JOURNAL #1

At this point I am not sure about what I am supposed to write in these entries. I guess I will share a short review of what I’ve done in the past and try to summarize my strong points and weaknesses.

The first thing I would like to say is that I love writing.

Having said that I have a strong writing background for Marketing, Advertising and other forms of persuasive creation. Lately I’ve been writing more and more works of fictions just for practice and self-pleasure and I have planned to write a short stories book that I wish to finish writing next year. Maybe I can use that project with this class and complement each other for the sake of learning if that is possible.

My main weakness is that English is not my mother tongue, Spanish is. There for, sometimes is hard to write the right way. I work hard to overcome this barrier and there are a lot of tools available today to translate. However, as good as I try to do it, my English writing and speaking always feels a little different, because I tend to compose in Spanish first and then translate.

I hope this course can help me with that.

Other than that I don’t find much else to say, so, lets begin.
